Jungle
This hardwood bark mulch is Goodwin’s favorite of all the hardwood bark mulches! Its uniform texture allows for ease in spreading and its rich, dark brown color will compliment any landscape.

Jungle Fines
For immediate curb appeal, Goodwin gives this hardwood bark mulch two furry thumbs way up for it’s rich, dark color, extremely fine grind and ideal environment for other beneficial soil organisms. However, it is so finely ground that it doesn’t hold its color as well as the other hardwood bark mulches, it tends to wash in heavy rains and it breaks down very quickly.

Jungle Naturals
This mulch is considered the “contractor’s special”. The size of the grind ranges from 3/4″ to 3″ which makes it the most course textured of the hardwood bark mulches. Goodwin recommends this mulch where erosion is an issue and in a more naturalized planting area.

Primate Plush
This is a virgin wood mulch designed for playgrounds, jogging trails, dog runs, horse arenas and MONKEY bedding. This mulch has been tested and meets ASTM and ADA standards. Goodwin says it’s better than a Sealy Posturepedic!

Cedar Snub Nose
Cedar smells oh so good and looks even better! This high grade cedar mulch has a rich, reddish, orange color. Goodwin tells us that cedar mulch helps keep the bugs away…

Old World (shown in black)
Goodwin is not a huge fan of dyed mulches because they tend to leach in color and are made from “wood product” (not bark), however we get positive feedback from our homosapien friends. The mulch comes colored Black, Brown or Red. (we warned you so we can’t be held responsible for any dyed mulch leaching color onto porous surfaces!)

Chimp Bark Enhanced
Goodwin prefers this mulch over the Old World mulches because it is made from bark mulch instead of “wood product” and the chocolate-brown color is superb! This mulch has the same potential color leaching issues as the Old World mulches.
